Andrew's Funeral

Online Funeral

Due to the pandemic restrictions we had a digital service on Wednesday 27th May at 12.30pm. It has been so nice to hear from everyone who attended - it means a lot we were able to be together albeit on the internet.

Thank you to the friends and neighbours who came to the road to wave Andy off before the funeral.  I trust no one drove further than the distance of Barnard Castle. Photos have been added to the gallery section taken very kindly by our neighbour John.

If you did not manage to make the service or would like to see it again the recording is still available 'via catch up' on the link below.  We are unsure how long it will stay there but we should have a recorded copy in the coming days if the link stops working.

Written copies of the eulogies have also been added to the 'thoughts' sections.

In the future

We hope to all join together for a memorial gathering and celebration of his life when we are allowed to be in the same room again.

And finally

Can we suggest that instead of maybe sending flowers you make donation in Andy's name to the East Cheshire Hospice or Rennie Grove Hospice Care. Our family has received some wonderful care from hospices over the years and know what an amazing difference they can make. East Cheshire is close to our families heart it is where Euan, Andy's brother, was cared for so wonderfully. It was also where Andy's good friend Michael Boyle's son Alex was cared for. Rennie Grove is also important to us as it is the local hospice at home in Hertfordshire and where Hester used to be a trustee.  Donations can be made on this website.

Thank you to all who have donated - you have been incredibly generous.

Please donate to East Cheshire Hospice or Rennie Grove Hospice Care. Both charities are close to our hearts. Andy's brother received wonderful care at East Cheshire, & Rennie Grove is our local hospice in Hertfordshire and where Hester was a trustee
